{"id":17946,"date":"2025-11-17T15:25:42","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T14:25:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iicvarsavia.esteri.it\/?p=17946"},"modified":"2025-11-25T12:27:26","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T11:27:26","slug":"international-singing-competition-of-teatro-lirico-sperimentale-80th-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iicvarsavia.esteri.it\/pl\/news\/dall_istituto\/2025\/11\/international-singing-competition-of-teatro-lirico-sperimentale-80th-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"International Singing Competition of Teatro Lirico Sperimentale &#8211; 80th edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The enrollment to the <strong>80<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> edition <\/strong>of the <strong>International Singing Competition<\/strong> (formerly known as \u201cEuropean Community\u201d Competition for Young Opera Singers) of <strong>Teatro Lirico Sperimentale<\/strong> has commenced and it will be host at the Teatro Caio Melisso of Spoleto 25<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; 28<sup>th<\/sup> February 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The jury &#8211; chaired by Mr. <strong>Donato Renzetti<\/strong> (conductor) &#8211; will consist of Ms. <strong>Maria Agresta <\/strong>(soprano), Mr. <strong>Saverio Clemente<\/strong> (artist manager), Mr. <strong>Enrico Girardi<\/strong> (Teatro Lirico Sperimentale artistic director) and Mr. <strong>Giancarlo Landini<\/strong> (music critic).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Once again this year, \u00ab<strong>If you dare, you&#8217;ll debut<\/strong>\u00bb is the competition&#8217;s motto. It reminds us of the historical city institution&#8217;s dual purpose. Since 1947, the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale has been <strong>selecting young emerging singers in order to direct them towards the singing career<\/strong> and &#8211; thanks to a two-year educational plan &#8211; gives them the opportunity to <strong>make their debut on the opera stage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The competition is open<\/strong> to sopranos, tenors and countertenor who will be under the age of 32 on 1<sup>st<\/sup> January 2026, and to altos, basses and baritones who will be under the age of 34 on 1<sup>st<\/sup> January 2026. Applicants must also be citizens of one of the 27 EU countries, or from other countries listed on the competition announcement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Registration<\/strong> will be online: candidates can fill out the application directly on the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale website, indicating their preferred time slot for the audition (from those available at the time of application). <strong>Deadline<\/strong> for the enrollment will be <strong>4<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> February 2026<\/strong>.
